The Best Credit Cards

Credit cards have got something of a bad reputation in recent years as people have discovered they have got themselves into more debt than they can easily manage.

This should be a lesson to us all but we should not lose track of the fact that credit cards are a useful way of getting and using credit in the short term. So once we accept that there is a place for using credit cards here are some tips on choosing the best credit cards for you.

Credit Cards Interest Rates

Watch the interest rates. Interest rates vary depending upon the credit card company. Your credit score makes a big difference but some cret suppliers are almost always more expensive than others no matter how good your credit score so check the interest rates and compare the rates offered to you. Also note that while an offer may mention a certain rate of interest for the card the actual rate you get will depend on you and your credit score, not always just on what the card company say is available.

Extra features On Credit Cards – Discounts & Cashback.

Some credit cards come with additional features like discounts on certain goods  or services and cashback when you use your credit card for purchases. Almost always you will find that the cards with cashback charge a little more interest than cards that don’t so unless there is some significant benefit from using a cashback credit card you might well be better off with a regular credit card.

3) If you pay your credit card off each month you will save on interest but some cards may have charges applied if a credit card is always paid off each month either now or in the future.
